4 Realistic Morning Routines for the Nigerian Adult

Routines for the ideal naija man or woman ? Yep routine for self care, for child care, car care, routine for virtually anything you can think of at this point, it is safe to say that your routines depend on factors such as time, readiness, plans, interest and so on. Some people get up in the morning and spend an hour pampering their bodies while others get up and plunge straight into work both at home and on their jobs.
I feel this because self care is very important as that’s the foundation for the care you give to others at work and at home..
I see a lot of morning routine suggestions online and I haven’t found one that is realistic enough for the average Nigerian who has a job to get to and people whom they answer to. Some of these routines take time and for some, the products are many or expensive. And so my morning routine came by and you can do it under 30 minutes
Stretch
Now, this is one simple and easy to do task. Some of us sleep weirdly, you fold up like a cold chicken all night and get up in the morning to walk around like a human being. Adjust your body, bone and muscles by stretching. Stretch your arms, legs, back and your knees. Bend down to stretch, move side to side, put your hands up. Just stretch. Even if you can’t exercise in the morning, stretching lubricates your joints and expands your muscles. Consider stretching as a cheap tip when or if you don’t understand.
Drink Water
Fela was right, you know? Water e no get enemy. Drink water in the morning to feel alive, rejuvenated, refreshed and excited for the new day. Make sure that the water is warm or at room temperature and you can spice things up by adding lime, lemon or cucumber. Drink water to welcome your body into the new day. It would also help your stomach settle and feel ready for whatever might come in the day.
If you don’t like water, take some green tea or some warm natural drink.
Visualize your day
This is a mental exercise that would help your mind get prepared for the day. Visualizing your day usually involves imagination, journalling and creating your to-do list. Take out your notepad, check your diary, your calendar and update -strike out,add tasks and even post a positive comment about the day ahead
Eat Breakfast
Breakfasts usually aren’t like ‘God prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies” and they aren’t junk either. You can have wholesome, healthy and light meals for breakfast. If you’re looking to eat healthy, breakfasts might be the way out. A smoothie or oats with fruits, a little rice and good protein would be great as well.
Start A Face Thing
Whether it is face scrub, moisturizing or cleaning with Rose water, clean your face, exfoliate. Cleaning your face in the morning is important because of the dirt that might have been trapped in your pores. Cleaning your face enables you to massage your facial skin encouraging blood flow . A cheap hack , grind half a cup of rice to powder and viola your face scrub is ready.

Yes seek the Almighty and ask for His blessings. You need to, I need to. We all need His blessings.
